Lincoln Days 2008

Lincoln Days is a big event for Hodgenville & LaRue County residents every year. We dedicate the whole weekend to our 16th President . . . Abe Lincoln!

Lincoln Days is filled with . . . FOOD, ABE LOOK-A-LIKES, FOOD, CRAFTS, FOOD, PIONEER GAMES, FOOD, PARADES, OLD CARS & TRACTORS, FOOD, SINGING . . . FOOD. WELL YOU GET THE PICTURE!

This year Brad, Biven, Baines & I got to spend the whole day together with our families and friends. It was a great day!!

Biven & Baines got their faces painted . . . WATCH OUT SPIDERMAN!

Allison, Mama, Biven & I also marched in the parade for Abraham Lincoln Elementary Wonderful Wednesday. Wonderful Wednesday was created in the late 80's by Mama & Karen Brooks to allow all children to participate in cultural events & activities. Each year they take several field trips and have many in school sponsored activities. We had a great time participating this year!
When Biven & I got done we got to enjoy the rest of the parade with our family & friends. Baines really enjoyed the parade this year. He loved waving at the people & tractors. Here are a few pictures . . .

Baines crashed after the parade. Too much Lincoln Days. . . .

Biven talked Katie out of some money & got a bow & arrow.

More Lincoln Days today . . . more to come . . .
